Bollywood takes major inspiration from South Indian film industry. It has picked up not just blockbusters for remakes, but also artists who ended up carving a niche for themselves here as well! While the actors have strengthened our belief that tall, dark and handsome men do exist, here is Rohit Pathak who is riding high with his Tamil Film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru releasing today with South Superstar Karthi (younger brother of Suriya – Ghajni fame). “We’ve made a honest film and it’s one of the best action film of my career,” says confident Rohit Pathak.
The film is based on true events that took place between 1995 and 2005, Rohit opens up talking about the film and working with director Vinoth, He says, “When I heard the story, it immediately struck the chord within. I found it to be very realistic and the way it has been executed it will definately leave a strong impact”.
Recalling the experience of working with Vinoth, Rohit says, he has brought a new definition in portrayal of my character on screen in Tamil cinema: “Vinoth is very clear about what he wants. Was well prepared and knew how much time would be needed to shoot a particular scene. I was truly amazed by his clarity and balance. Even before I could come on board, he had done most of the research required to play my character. It has a new flavour and nuances which I believe audiences will love.”
